Friends, we haven't provided any updates for a while and felt it was time, particularly as we have a big promise to keep.
But first, thank you all for subscribing and following. We've been publishing on Substack for almost two years now and we're thrilled with the progress we've made. Many of you have reached out to express appreciation for our content, and we are grateful for your support. We intend to keep offering you valuable and original content while continually striving for improvement.
On that note. As you probably know we’ve been publishing our Toffcap Monday Monitor (TMM), our regular overview of interesting event-driven trades and companies, on a bi-weekly basis. And while we have plenty of content for a weekly publication, we felt that we needed a larger subscriber case before we could add more capacity to this publication; it costs us quite some time, effort and $$ to find, collect, review and publish the ideas.
Happy to say that we’ve recently passed 6,500 subscribers, our targeted subscriber base. That means it’s time to maintain the promise: as of November 25, the TMM will be published weekly.
A small reminder. The TMM is centered on interesting event-driven trades. We are not looking to provide an exhaustive list of every announced buyback, insider trade, executive change, and so on—there are plenty of resources available for that.
The purpose of the TMM is to provide a valuable foundation of potentially actionable event-driven investment ideas—those that spark interest and merit further exploration.
By publishing weekly, we will also be able to provide you with more highlights. The number of ideas should remain roughly the same per publication, but with roughly double the publications each month. Overall, we’ll be targeting 40-45 TMMs per year.
But that’s not all.
While we’re happy sharing the TMM with you, we also very much enjoy writing up and highlight interesting companies. And though these write-ups depend on both the opportunity set and the time available, we will try to be more consistent with these publications as well.
So the plan going forward is to publish a company write-up as well as a ‘What We’re Looking At’ publication roughly each month, starting Jan. next year.
Again, we’ll maintain the freedom to divert from this schedule (as we have a pretty busy schedule, but also because we’re not getting paid for this 😉), but the intention is to stick to it.
That’s it for today!
Hope you appreciate all the effort we’re putting into providing you with all this content. If you do, please make sure to like and share.
Love it! I always look forward to your publications. More is not always better, but I expect in this case, it will be!
How are you keeping track of all this info? Excel or another DB program? Substack search is horrible and they don't yet have a Tablepress plugin like ability to create tables. I've created (and still cleaning up) some stock index pages with 1500+ EM stocks (linked to their IR + quote pages), tags to some of my posts covering them + other relevant resources for them or individual countries e.g.:

HAD POSTED THIS COMMENT ON THE WRONG POST EARLIER AND DELETED IT...
