First of all, thank you for being a subscriber.
We’ve put our content behind a paywall almost two weeks ago and growth has been satisfactory.
At the same time, something happened that caught us by surprise.
We had a LOT of people reaching out, asking if it would be possible to access only part of the content (i.c. either the company write-ups or the TMMs).
The messages were clear. “Toff, I love your content, but I really don't care much about the event-driven stuff". Or, “I'm just here for the ToffCap Monday Monitor!".
This truly came as a complete surprise. We never thought of the possibility of creating two separate publications until subscribers flagged the idea; we are no publishers - we just look at stocks all day.
But after giving it some thought we decided that a split would certainly make sense.
This way, readers will have the optionality of choosing which content they prefer to access (company write-ups or the event-driven Monday monitor), at much lower price points.
So, going forward, there will be two ToffCap publications: one dedicated to company write-ups (this one), and the other will publish our ToffCap Monday Monitor, our weekly overview of actionable event-driven and special sits.
All new TMMs will be published at toffcapmondaymonitor.substack.com (we’re working on cutting out ‘substack’):
We have a lot of interesting ideas to expand this product, and we will implement them over the course of the year.
On pricing
The separation means that we can offer much more attractive price points:
we priced the ToffCap Monday Monitor at €25 per month (on the annual sub),
while ToffCap will be priced at €22.50 monthly (also on the annual subs).
We hope this separation will make our content much more accessible to many of you.
